Research Interests
My research focuses on labor economics, human capital formation, and applied microeconometrics. I study how education, skills, and labor market frictions affect earnings, health, and other life outcomes. My work combines structural models with reduced-form methods to address questions about the causal effects of education and the sources of wage inequality.
Prior to economics, I worked for ten years in experimental particle physics at the Collider Detector at Fermilab. For a list of my physics publications, please see my physics Google Scholar profile.
